FLOWERTIME Dresses Up to Celebrate Fashion

From August 13 to 17, 2025, Brussels City Hall will dress up and host the 7th edition of FLOWERTIME. On this occasion, 30 Belgian floral artists have been invited to decorate the rooms of this jewel of Brussels heritage. This year’s theme: fashion and textile art, another artistic discipline in which Belgium excels. Do you love Brussels’ Main Square? Show it with flowers!
Every two years, alternating with the Flower Carpet event on the Grand-Place, the FLOWERTIME biennial invites floral art enthusiasts, heritage lovers, and curious visitors to (re)discover Brussels City Hall from a fresh perspective. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, alongside the entire Grand-Place, this architectural gem opens its doors to floral artists, dressing up in a new floral gown.
Since its creation in 2013, FLOWERTIME has become a must-see event for all architecture and flower lovers. Jointly imagined by the organizers of the Flower Carpet and the Ghent Floralies, FLOWERTIME 2025 once again crowns Brussels as the floral capital of Europe.
Fashion and Textile Art
For the 7th edition of FLOWERTIME, this year’s spotlight is on “fashion and textile art,” a sector where Belgium has often stood out. On this occasion, 30 Belgian artists will transform fifteen historic rooms of City Hall. They will present original works combining fashion, textile design, and floral art in an immersive, poetic, and fragrant journey that revisits the building through textures, patterns, and colors. In total, over 100,000 flowers will compose this immense bouquet worthy of haute couture masterpieces.
The FLOWERTIME 2025 exhibition will be held at Brussels City Hall from August 13 through 17. Additionally, during FLOWERTIME, visitors can access the City Hall Tower to enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Brussels, after climbing a spiral staircase of 200 steps.
The View Tower Experience is accessible only via a combined ticket with FLOWERTIME.
