This summer's Flower Carpet (13-16 August 2020) is cancelled

Dear journalists,

It is with great regret that we have to announce the cancellation of this summer’s Flower Carpet (13-16 August 2020).

The health crisis that we are all going through is unprecedented. Therefore, the Belgian National Security Council has decided not to allow mass events in Belgium until the 31st of August 2020.

As much as we would have wished to welcome you this summer, we can only support this difficult decision. The health and safety of our visitors, colleagues, volunteers, partners and suppliers comes first.

As soon as we have more clarity on the situation, we will decide on new dates for the next edition of the Flower Carpet.

Take good care of yourself and your loved ones!

The Flower Carpet, which has been running since 1971, attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the Grand Place and has become a true point of reference around the world. Since 2013 it is organised in alternation with Flowertime, a major international plant and flower arranging event inside Brussels City Hall.
